My Potato Seeds and Onion Sets Have Arrived!

I went with Kerrs Pink, a maincrop variety of potatoes, and Cupido onions, both from W Robinson & Son.

The descriptions of both of these are:

• Kerrs Pink Potato

A round general purpose floury Main Crop variety with pink skin. Microwaves, mashes and fries well, boiling needs care.
Has dense foliage to suppress weeds.

• Cupido F1 Onion Sets

For lifting towards the end of July, this hybrid produces high yields of semi-globe, dark golden skinned bulbs with good flavour. Stuttgart type onion. Suited to long term storage.

I have some reasonably high hopes for these, just gotta get out and plant them now… Well, the spuds in a few weeks, but the onions I can try straight away… (Back health permitting.)

Update!

I’ve planted the onions now… Took two attempts to get them in. Well, one go where I prepared the soil and almost fainted, and one where I actually planted them.

Watered, also watered the rest of my plants, the garlic, flowers, the weird plants my mum got me I don’t know what they are… While out there I saw a nice looking plant with white bell-shaped flowers I might take a photo of later.
