TATERS! GROW ‘EM, MASH ‘EM, PUT ‘EM IN THE GROUND! So, exceptionally quick one! Taters are all starting to come up now. Lots of little green lovelies! Also, I’ve been thinking, thanks to @Tinker on The Fediverse’s post about hydroponics today, my ADHD is gearing up to to it! Thanks, babes. <3 HQM

Potatoes Peaking Past the toPsoil
Apr 27, 2024 One minute

Potatoes Are Starting To Sprout Above Ground! I wasn’t getting worried (I was). My potatoes have started coming above ground, which is nice. Also, there’s a plant I am unsure what its called my mum got me, and these are the flowers! (Beautiful.) And a little thing… I made with my own two hand(!!) a very shitty little roof and hanger for my outdoor hygrometer and thermometer to keep it out of direct sunlight and rain.

Apr 24, 2024 One minute

My Garlics Are Over ONE METRE TALL! I really want them to be ready already! SOON™ My garics seem to be over 1 metre tall now, which is pretty neat. Here’s some photographs of them! I have decided that after they harvest, I will keep a few of them and turn them into forever garlics! Plant a few each year to make sure I never have to buy garlic again.

Miscellaneous Flowers and a Bee!
Apr 12, 2024 One minute

Just Some Miscellaneous Flowers and a Bee! The bee photo will be last, if you do not like insect photos, please skip it. (It will be after the break.) This first photo was one I took when going to the post office the other day, it was underneath a tree and I thought it looked cool. I have not ID’d it. These next photos are some plants that are growing in my back garden.

Potatoes, For Real This Time
Apr 8, 2024 One minute

FINE! I actually planted the potatoes now! But there are no photos to see, because it’s just dirt. So here’s a little photography from my front garden! The potatoes, of which there were 15(!)1 have been planted. There’s nothing really to see, but I will update when they start to pop their sprouts above ground! Now, my front garden has exploded into blooms! Mostly hyacinths, but also some actual bluebells, and some tulips.

Go Go Onion Update!
Apr 6, 2024 One minute

The Onions Have Started To Sprout In The Soil! I am really hyped about this. Just a quick on, but the onions have started to sprout out of the soil in my back garden. There’s still a long while before I can harvest, of course, but seeing these little bastards shoot up is making me feel good. Here’s a little picture.

Onions & Potatoes Update
Mar 30, 2024 One minute

Onions and Potatoes and Updates! OH MY! Onions are planted, might have said this before, but I am too lazy to check! In this tub/planter thing, they take up all but the lower right corner. I am unsure what to put there, maybe something small that doesn’t require too much space. I started working the potatoes planter tub thing. But I still need to shape the soil and then actually plant them.

Sets and Seeds Arrived
Mar 22, 2024 One minute

My Potato Seeds and Onion Sets Have Arrived! I went with Kerrs Pink, a maincrop variety of potatoes, and Cupido onions, both from W Robinson & Son. The descriptions of both of these are: Kerrs Pink Potato A round general purpose floury Main Crop variety with pink skin. Microwaves, mashes and fries well, boiling needs care. Has dense foliage to suppress weeds. Cupido F1 Onion Sets For lifting towards the end of July, this hybrid produces high yields of semi-globe, dark golden skinned bulbs with good flavour.

Front Garden in Bloom
Mar 20, 2024 One minute

The Front Garden is Starting to Bloom! Hyacinths and Tulips! Lovely! My front garden springs to life at the start of spring every year, and these are what do it, mostly grape hyacinths, which are kinda invading my garden, and a few tulips, too. Red ones started to bloom, but other colours will be out soon, I think. On the other side of the garden is where it’s still mostly grape hyacinths, but also some tulips.

Local daffodil types.
Mar 4, 2024 One minute

Types of Local Daffs! I have no photos, because I am not a great rememberer of taking my phone out with Chester, but over the last 3 weeks the daffodils have been out in force, I have seen maybe 200 different blooms across an area of grass near my house. Most of them are around trees, with a few out of tree cover. Most of them are your stereotypical daffodils, but THREE of them are pale, not quite white ones.
