Let’s have a look at how the garlic is getting on, shall we?

A small, boxed in by wood, plot of cultivated soil. There are approximately 20 or 25 garlic plants growing, they’re mostly thin, tallish, and green with the occasional brown leaf.
The brown leaves are nothing to worry about, I have been told, as long as there’s still some green ones on there, they’re still alive and can grow!

A fairly wide looking green stemmed and leafed plant in some cultivated soil.
This is an upclose of an Elephant Garlic plant, it’s looking pretty nice, I think.

A small patch of cultivated land showing many growing green stems and leaves, with some brown leaves also.
And here is a view of most of the non-elephants.

The varieties I have, which I cannot remember where I planted in this 1m x 1m square, are:

  • Extra Early Wight x 1 bulb: Allium Sativum Ophioscorodon (hardneck)
  • Rhapsody Wight x 1 bulb: Allium Sativum (softneck)
  • Caulk Wight x 1 bulb: Allium Sativum Ophioscorodon (hardneck)
  • Elephant Garlic x 4 cloves: Allium Ampeloprasum

I bought them all from The Garlic Farm but they’re autumn planters, so you can’t get this pack at the moment.

Thanks to you all.
