No. I’m attempting to grow lettuce. This is going “okay” so far. Let’s have a little look.
Okay, this is a little weird, but they’re what I had to hand and are strong, sturdy, and, most importantly, FREE!
This is the basic layout for me, two buckets, a bad chopping board set up to hold up the four lights.
Right, brief one, especially after so long, but I’ve been having one of them fun depressed times where I could barely get up most of the time, so going out in the garden just wasn’t happening.
Anyway, here’s my plans for the next few weeks.
It’s almost garlic planting season, so today I cleared the approximately 5 large weeds from my garlic box and have decided to go with about what I planyed last year. Except I forgot to label them, so it’ll just be random what I get.
They’re growin all right! Just look at these fuckers!
They need a watering, I think, I will get back out there in a few minutes after writing this up!
These have some flowers (I’ll allow it) and some concerning leaves…
These also need a good watering, but I am somewhat happy with them. I thought they might have been more… Bushy. I think that’s how they were described on the seed website.
These little flowers I should probably remove if I want slightly bigger taters, but I like the flowers, and I am sure the local insects do, too!
Now, this is a little bit of a worry. I will have to do some research and see if I can figure something out.
So, exceptionally quick one! Taters are all starting to come up now. Lots of little green lovelies!
Also, I’ve been thinking, thanks to @Tinker on The Fediverse’s post about hydroponics today, my ADHD is gearing up to to it!
My potatoes have started coming above ground, which is nice.
Also, there’s a plant I am unsure what its called my mum got me, and these are the flowers! (Beautiful.)
My garics seem to be over 1 metre tall now, which is pretty neat. Here’s some photographs of them!

This first photo was one I took when going to the post office the other day, it was underneath a tree and I thought it looked cool. I have not ID’d it.
The potatoes, of which there were 15(!)1 have been planted. There’s nothing really to see, but I will update when they start to pop their sprouts above ground!
Now, my front garden has exploded into blooms! Mostly hyacinths, but also some actual bluebells, and some tulips. The tulips are mostly red, but today I noticed some dark purple ones which look amazing, so here’s some photos!
Just a quick on, but the onions have started to sprout out of the soil in my back garden.
There’s still a long while before I can harvest, of course, but seeing these little bastards shoot up is making me feel good.

In this tub/planter thing, they take up all but the lower right corner. I am unsure what to put there, maybe something small that doesn’t require too much space.
I started working the potatoes planter tub thing. But I still need to shape the soil and then actually plant them. They’re an April (usually) plant, but as it’s about 18C outside (about 64F), I guess that it’s April enough for here!
